I never liked default in-game Force Feedback (FFB) by Logitech and SCS that features a terrible empty/expressionless zone in the middle.
I have a Logitech G27 and i wanted to become more from it. With the release of the telemetry SDK (God bless SCS :)) I've got the chance to make my and others dreams come true. Here'southward the result, everybody tin test what i accept created. :)
I've tried to accomplish a kind of "ceremonious" behavior of the FFB, a very "gentle" spring from electro/hydro power steering and mainly a sharper centre position for a better sensation on the road.

In improver to this, I take created another plugin - Adaptive Automatic Manual (AAT) emulation, featuring user customizable settings.

Afterwards starting engine, set gear manually and accelerate. Transmission will shift down to selected gear just. (or 1 gear lower, in some situations) To reset start gear, turn off engine.
[*]Intelligent engine braking manner. Truck runs on higher RPM and lower gear with accelerator up/released.

FFB plugin v2.0 alpha (ten.03.2015)

Fully reworked physics&program model of ffb.
Feels more correct (espesially near middle position, at loftier speeds), just information technology's don't smooth as v1.0. Uploaded for tests & your feedback.

Some unfixed issues present - wheel can "ticking" over middle position is some situations, hold information technology tight past your easily.
Be careful with params in ini file - changing some values (workzone, highly increasing steering force/steering speed) tin make your bicycle "aggressive" when you kickoff to drive.

Stock-still and calibrated FFB concrete model. Fixed ticking wheel.
Collision forces enabled once more, but all the same westward.i.p.

Changes:
one) Existent physical model of steering wheels self-stabilization
2) 5 new G27 LEDs modes.
3) for more existent steering feel, you lot have to adjust steering ratio to real truck values. Default steering ratio is 900/(35*2)=12.86. Real trucks uses values 22-25. to adapt it, change in controls.sii steering line:

this way you'll get ii steering modes by switching nonlinearity slider in game settings:
- when nonlinearity ready to left - 22.96 linear steering ratio, but decreased steerable wheels range (nineteen.6 degrees) - for driving
- when nonlinearity set to right - non-linear steering ratio, starts from 22.96, with full steerable wheels range (35 degrees) - for maneuvering on loading/unloading places

Changes:
1) Researching photos of steering beam of real trucks, I've increased in ini-file value of half_axle_length. That's the distance between a steering hinge and a middle of the wheel. Due to this steering wheel becomes more sensitive to the road surface, and cocky-stabilization on ho-hum speed becomes closer to existent concrete model (params of self-stabilization returned to 100 instead of 50/200).
2) Enhanced smoothing on high speed near cypher point. Smoothing zone increasing with speed (steering_workzone_truck_speed_enhance). When the role player begins to plough his steering wheel too fast, plugin begins release force feedback for a moment and to judge steering wheel'southward future position and apply additional smoothing (parameters steering_workzone_wheel_speed_enhance, steering_workzone_multiplier, steering_forward_param).
